ANESTHESIA:

Leonard Bandala, M.D.
After graduating from the University of Illinois College of Medicine in 1984, Dr. Bandala went on to complete his Internship and Residency in Anesthesia at Northwestern Memorial Hospital and was Chief Resident his final year. While at Northwestern he completed fellowships in Cardiovascular Anesthesia and Critical Care Medicine and was in academic practice for several years before joining Easton Hospital in Easton, PA. At Easton Hospital, he served as President of the Medical Staff, 2002-2004, Director of Anesthesia and served on numerous committees. Dr. Bandala is Board Certified by the American Board of Anesthesiology and holds a Certificate of Special Qualifications in Critical Care Medicine.

Gregory Singleton, M.D.
Dr. Singleton is a graduate of Columbia University and SUNY Health Sciences Center at Brooklyn. There, he served his anesthesia residency and a critical care anesthesia fellowship. He is currently Staff Anesthesiologist in general surgery and obstetrics at Sacred Heart Hospital, Allentown, PA.

Stephen Zarrelli, M.D.
Steve has joined us after being the Chief for the Department of Anesthesia, Easton Hospital. Steve's practice includes all specialty areas of medicine, including Ambulatory Surgery. A graduate of The University of Scranton, B.S. in Biology 1987, Steve continued his medical education at Temple University School of Medicine graduating with a Doctor of Medicine degree in 1991. 1991-1992 Transitional Internship at Mercy Catholic Medical Center, and 1992-1995 Postdoctotoral Training at The John Hopkins Hospital in Anesthesiology Residency that included an Advanced Clinical Track with rotations in Vascular/Thoracic, Cardiac, Pediatrics, Ambulatory, Advanced Airway Management, Regional and Chronic Pain Management. Steve has received multiple Honors and Awards that range from Cancer Research, to Pre-medical and Honor Medical Societies. He currently maintains membership in The Pennsylvania Medical Society, American Society of Anesthesiology, International Anesthesia Research Society and Northhampton County Medical Society.

OTOLARYNGOLOGY-ENT:

Jeffrey S. Driben, M.D., FACS
Dr. Jeffrey Driben completed his medical school training at Thomas Jefferson University in 1991, after receiving his bachelor of arts degree in biology from Rutgers University. " He served a residency for otolaryngology-head and neck surgery at Naval Medical Center in Maryland in 1997. He was a staff otolaryngologist at the Camp LeJeune Naval Hospital in North Carolina from 1997 to 1999 before joining ENT Head and Neck Specialists. He became board certified in 1998.

Charles K. Lutz, M.D., FACS
Dr. Charles Lutz earned his bachelor of sciences degree in 1980 from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. He completed his medical school training at the Boston University School of Medicine in 1984. His residency in otolaryngology-head and neck surgery was completed at the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine in 1989. Dr. Lutz became board certified in 1989.

James P. Restrepo, M.D., FACS
Dr. Restrepo earned his Bachelor of Arts and sciences in 1978 from Johns Hopkins University. He completed his medical school training at the University of Pennsylvania in 1982. His residency in otolaryngology-head and neck surgery was completed at the University of Pennsylvania in 1987. Dr. Restrepo became board certified in 1987.

GENERAL SURGERY:

Christopher Beetel, M.D., F.A.C.S
Dr. Beetel is a graduate of Mount Saint Mary's College, Emmitsburg, MD, and Jefferson Medical College, Philadelphia. He is currently in practice at Cardiothoracic Surgical Associates of Reading. Dr. Beetel specializes in general thoracic surgery, TV surgery of the chest, YAG laser bronchoscopy, and bronchoscopy—rigid and flexible.

Thomas Beetel, M.D., F.A.C.S
Thomas Beetel, MD received his medical degree from Jefferson Medical College in Philadelphia, PA. He completed his residency at Christiana Care Health Systems Wilmington, DE in 2002. Dr. Beetel is board certified in General Surgery and a member of the Laparoendoscopic Surgical Society.

Robert J. Howard, D.O., F.A.C.S.
Dr. Howard specializes in laparoscopic and endoscopic surgery. A native of Kutztown, he is a graduate of Pennsylvania State University and the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine. He completed his surgical residency at the Lehigh Valley Hospital and Health Network. Dr. Howard is a Fellow in the American College of Surgeons. He is a member of both the PA Medical Society and Berks County Medical Society.

Joseph R. Levan. M.D., F.A.C.S.
Dr. Levan specializes in minimally invasive surgery. A native of Berks County, he is a graduate of Albright College and Hahnemann University. He completed his surgical residency at Lehigh Valley Hospital and Health Network. Dr. Levan also earned a MBA from Alvernia College. He is Board Certified in General Surgery, a Fellow in the American College of Surgeons, and is a member of both the PA Medical Society and Berks County Medical Society.

GYNECOLOGY:

Tonie C. Crandall, M.D.
Dr. Crandall joined Women’s Clinic, Ltd. in 1985. She practices a full-spectrum of obstetrics and gynecology, including high-risk obstetrics, office gynecology, gynecologic surgery, colposcopy, menopausal management and osteoporosis prevention and management. Because of her personal experience – twin daughters- Dr. Crandall also has a special interest in multiple-fetal pregnancies. Board certified in her speciality, Dr. Crandall is a Fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists.

Stephen H. Fehnel, M.D.
Dr. Stephen H. Fehnel graduated from the Pennsylvania State University in 1973 and Jefferson Medical College of Thomas Jefferson University in Philadelphia in 1977. He finished his OB/GYN residency in 1981 at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital in Philadelphia. Dr. Fehnel then joined Women's Clinic, Ltd. in Reading in 1981. He is now the Treasurer of the Corporation and Medical Director of Advanced Clinical Concepts, which is a research subsidiary of Women's Clinic, Ltd. dedicated to advancing clinical research.

Fredericka Heller, M.D.
Fredericka Heller, MD, is a native of Berks County . She is a member of the medical staff of The Reading Hospital and Medical Center and is a board certified member of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists. Dr. Heller is a graduate of Vassar College . She received her medical degree from The University of Pennsylvania Medical School. She completed her specialty training at The Reading Hospital and Medical Center . She is currently the Chair of the Section of Obstetrics, Department of OB/GYN at The Reading Hospital and Medical Center .

Dr. Heller is on the faculty of The Reading Hospital and Medical Center ’s OB-GYN residency training program and is a Clinical Assistant Professor at Drexel University College of Medicine, Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology.

Professional memberships include: American Medical Association, American Medical Women’s Association, American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists, International Society of Clinical Densitometrists, Pennsylvania Medical Society, Berks County Medical Society (President 2007) and the Obstetrical Society of Philadelphia.

Active in the community, Dr. Heller served as a board member of the Hispanic Center of Reading and also helped initiate the Hispanic Center Scholarship Fund for Latino students. She speaks both Spanish and English. In 2000, she received the “Women of Distinction Award” from the Great Valley Girl Scout Council, and is a frequent speaker at community programs and events.

John A. Martin, Jr., M.D.
Dr. John A. Martin, Jr., specializes in sports medicine and general orthopaedic surgery. He has over 15 years of professional sports team-physician experience. He serves as the team physician for the Reading Phillies and the Reading Royals. He received his Bachelor of Science degree from Hampden-Sydney College and his medical degree from Thomas Jefferson University Hospital. He completed his fellowship in sports medicine at Temple University Center for Sports Medicine.

Kevin Terefenko, MD, a native of Berks County, received his undergraduate degree from Villanova University in 1991. After graduating Summa Cum Laude with a B.S. in Biology from Villanova, he attended Georgetown University School of Medicine where he graduated in 1995. Dr. Terefenko completed an internship in General Surgery and a residency in Orthopaedic Surgery at the Medical College of Virginia in Richmond. James Shaffer, M.D.
Dr. James Shaffer, a Pennsylvania native, earned his undergraduate and medical degrees from Penn State University. He then completed his orthopaedic residency in San Francisco, California. Dr. Shaffer’s expertise in complex orthopaedics focuses on upper extremity surgical care of the shoulder and elbow. Dr. Shaffer regularly attends national sub-specialty meetings and is frequently invited to speak on topics relating to musculoskeletal health. Alan S. Tuckman, M.D.
Dr. Alan S. Tuckman, is a native of New York and a graduate of Union College, Schenectady, NY. Dr. Tuckman received his M.D. degree from SUNY Health Science Center at Syracuse and completed his internship in general surgery there as well. Yong Park, M.D.

Kimberly Hurley, D.P.M.
